Are you prepared for the new school year?
For parents of a special needs child there is no simple answer. A new school year can mean new teachers, new schools, and making new friends. You’ll have to mange school meetings, tutoring, therapy, and keeping track of all of your child’s related documentation. Milestone Family Solutions understands how overwhelmed parents feel as the first day of school approaches. That is why we are hosting a “Let’s Get Ready For School” seminar.
We want to guide you gently into the new school year so that the transition is as smooth as possible for both you and your child. Over the course of an hour and a half your “back to school” concerns will be addressed. You will learn effective strategies for managing the complicated and often frustrating life that is the reality for parents of a special needs child. The following topics will be covered:

Importance of Routine
Management/Organization of Daily Calendars & Contacts
Child & Family Programs and Resources
Question & Answer Session
At the end of the seminar, you’ll see the light at the end of that dark tunnel. You will know what to expect and how to manage your child’s various emotions that are expected going into each school year.
